Course Overview

The epidemiology course equips students with skills that allow them to correctly interpret epidemiological research, see its limitations, and design their own studies. The first course in the specialization is measuring diseases in epidemiology, which examines the main measures of epidemiology and allows informed decision-making in public health policy and prevention.

The second is the epidemiology design, which provides an idea of the most common designs used, their strengths, and limitations.

The third-course topic is validity and bias, which helps build fundamental concepts taught in the courses and discusses bias. Also, the study's effect on epidemiology is seen. This part helps provide skills to prevent and control causality.

After the completion of the course, the students will have gained the skills to design and critique the research and will be able to pursue advanced courses in epidemiology. With the help of assignments, the skills that have been developed will be helpful in calculating the measures of frequency in the study. The findings of the study will help find and interpret it in real-life situations.
